Singing in the Surrey Hills
Our special guests were JSS Junior Judge Georgia Lois (front right), Teide Bryce (back, left, with sunglasses!) and Chloe Dunne (front left) who was the winner in the best vocal category for Junior Star Singer last year.
This year's show had an added twist.........yes folks we like to
keep you all interested and tuned in! We had our latest winner Chloe Dunne sitting in on the show to give her views on contestants after each of their performances. No pressure there then - as if it wasn't nerve racking enough for contestants already.
As always, we also had our JSS preliminary 'Behind the Mic' chat with each contestant before they went on air, giving them the chance to have a little practice session before they performed. It's kind of there to break the ice and get the contestants to chill out and relax before they go on air.

The Junior Star Singer Songwriter contest is nearly towards the end of its 2018 tour and so contestants will be faced with knowing very soon who goes
through to the final in December!
The final will be held at a recording studio in London, where contestants will be given tasks..........so no reheasing necessary folks! And if that was not hard enough, they are then put right up against it with having to wait until just before Christmas for the result. Last year we announced the winners on the JSS Christmas video and it was revealed on YouTube. So there is no telling what form the 'great reveal' will take this year for the final. If you need to look at previous shows just get straight onto Google and put in 'Junior Star Singer' with the location and the blog should come up with details and clips from the show.

This year's fun packed show at Surrey Hills starred contestants Melissa Soares, Jessica Ovens, Molly Sutherland, Nadira Pradana and Jasmine Sparry. All of them were great, matching up to the very high level of talent we've had throughout the contest this year. You can watch excerpts of each of their performances in the video below:
